Nursery admissions 2018 start today in Delhi: Check school-wise admission criteria here

The much awaited nursery admissions for the academic session 2018-19 start today, December 27 in Delhi schools.

As per reports, the admission process will take place in 1,700 schools across Delhi.

Further, parents have to submit the application form latest by January 17 for entry-level classes for children below six years of age.

Meanwhile, different schools have set up different parameters and criteria for admissions on their official websites.

Nursery admission through point system:

This year, the admissions will take place through a point system. Total of 100 points are divided into several criteria which differ from school to school.

As reported, DPS R K Puram has released its Registration and Admission Process — General Category (Open Seats) for Pre-School (Nursery Admission) 2018 — 2019 for its Junior Schools – DPS Vasant Vihar and DPS East of Kailash.

Raise grievances:

Parents can raise grievances if any with the DOE on its official website www.edudel.nic.in

Reservation of seats:

The admissions for the 25 per cent seats that are reserved for students belonging to the economically weaker section/disadvantaged (EWS/DG) category will be centrally conducted by the government.Further, of the 75 per cent seats, 20 per cent is allotted to management quota, 5 per cent for children of the staff working in the school.
