India is a developing country but the literacy rate in India is still not 100%. Admission process in any class is full of chaos and difficulty not only for the parents but for the children as well. For that matter, the entire confusion is suffered in the nursery admission that too for people who apply for EWS (Economically weaker section)/DG (Disadvantaged group) Category. Starting January 2018, the Delhi Government, conducts admissions for Nursery, KG and Class 1 under the EWS/DG categories where every private school has to keep a defined quota for the children belonging to EWS/DG.

First visit edudel.nic.in DOE website. Read the instructions carefully before applying. These instructions are also available in the form of a video. You have to first register the credentials on the website edudel.nic.in and by clicking on New User Registration on the right hand side of the page. Fill in the class and other personal details and also the proof of income. Then you click on register and your details will get submitted and you would get a registration number along with a password. After the registration, fill up the form online with the help of registration number as well as the password.
What Is EWS/DG Admission?
The government’s initiative towards spreading education to the nooks and corner of the countries wherein the economically weaker sections and the disadvantaged category get the advantage through the program. It started from the 1st of January 2017. Through this program, people can get the admissions for their children in all the Private schools as these are instructed by the Directorate of Education in Delhi. In the year 2018, this process shall commence on 1st January 2018.
What is the Eligibility Criteria for EWS/DG Admission?
The children whose parents have an annual income of less than 1 Lakh Rupees are eligible for the Admission. Apart from the general category, there is a reservation of 25% who would not need to pay the fees. Though the vacant number of seats in this category is not disclosed yet but as per the reports after the admission of general category, the admissions to this category will start. In delhi there are 1700 private schools that have approx 1.25 lakh seats for nursery admission.
Kids Age Limit for Admission:
- Nursery or Pre-School: Age Limit is 3 to 4 years on 31-03-2018
- KG or Pre-Primary: Age Limit is 4 to 5 years on 31-03-2018
- Class I (first): Age Limit is 5 to 6 years on 31-03-2018
Seat Quota for EWS/DG Candidates
A minimum of 25% of the total seats of the private schools are allotted at the entry level. This is as per the Right to Education Act 2009.
EWS/DG Latest News & Notification
As per the latest guidelines issued by the Delhi Government, it is now mandatory for all the schools to display the Admission details regarding EWS on the display boards. In some places, the implementation of EWS/DG admission process is not done in a proper manner therefore the Delhi High Court and the Directorate of Education intervene to protect the admissions as well as seeking the right implementation of the process.
EWS/DG Admission and Result Schedule/Date/Time
For the year 2018, the process of admission will start on the first Monday of the year i.e., 1st Jan 2018. The entire process is made online and a lucky draw will be drawn depending on the number of applications received. The admission form would be available online from10th January 2018 and the admission process will also start from the same day. The last day to submit the forms is 31st January 2018. The first and second list of selected children will be displayed on 28th February 2018 and 15th March 2018. Admission process will close from 31st March 2018. Any change in the dates would be notified on ewsadmissionresult.in

There are English as well as Hindi forms available online which you can easily download from the internet and then it has to be submitted in the school along with the required set of documents. There are some documents which are mentioned on the internet but it could be a possibility that the school asks for some other additional documents as per their protocol.
How to Check EWS/DG Result 2018-19 Online
The result would be announced on 28th February 2018 and 15th March 2018. The result would also be visible on the website of Directorate of Education http://www.edudel.nic.in/. Please note that the lucky draw would be a computerized lottery therefore, so there are no chances of false play and any mistake.
